Sui SUI

Sui comes from Mysten Labs, founded by engineers who had worked on Meta's blockchain effort, and is built around the Move language and an object-centric data model: every asset is a distinct object with an explicit owner rather than a row in one shared ledger of balances. Move treats assets as resources that cannot be accidentally copied or dropped, a check performed before execution rather than inside contract logic.

That choice drives the network's defining behaviour. A transfer touching only objects a single account owns competes with nothing and confirms on a shortened path that skips full transaction ordering; only operations on shared objects, such as liquidity pools, go through consensus. Work that other chains queue up runs in parallel here.

Validators operate under delegated proof of stake and rotate by epoch. SUI pays fees, secures the network as stake, and covers on-chain storage through a deposit refunded when the data is deleted. Cheap, predictable operations matter for the games and social applications the chain is aimed at.

The object model is not an implementation detail but the reason a simple transfer never waits in line: it has nothing to contend with for shared state.
