Price limit
The boundary beyond which a contract's price is not allowed to move during a session.
How to read the number
A limit halts the movement rather than the trading: deals inside the corridor go through, beyond it there are simply no orders.
When the metric lies
A position pinned against the limit cannot be closed at any price. The loss keeps accruing while the exit only reopens after the corridor widens or on the next session.
