Squeeze-out

The right of a holder who has consolidated an overwhelming stake through an offer to buy out the remaining shares without their owners' consent.

How to read the number

It completes the move to a single owner: the shares are debited from accounts and the money is remitted at the calculated price.

When the metric lies

Consent is not sought, the window for objection is short, and what can be challenged is the price rather than the debiting of the shares itself.
