Direct quote
A way of writing a rate in which the foreign currency is priced in the domestic one.
How to read the number
The familiar form on the Russian market: the price of one unit of foreign currency in roubles, where a larger number means a weaker rouble.
When the metric lies
On the global market the same pair is often written the other way round. Two charts under the same name from two sources run in opposite directions, and both are correct.
