Indicator repainting

The property whereby values already drawn change retrospectively once new data arrives.

How to read the number

The usual cause is a calculation resting on an extreme that can only be identified later, or on an interval that has not closed yet.

When the metric lies

On history such an indicator looks flawless because it was drawn knowing the future. In real time that precision does not exist and cannot exist.
