Indicator signal
A formal event inside a calculation: lines crossing, a boundary of the scale being passed, a sign changing.
How to read the number
The event describes the state of a formula, not the state of the market. The same settings produce different numbers of such events on different instruments and intervals.
When the metric lies
The word itself suggests an action while saying nothing about the likelihood that the movement continues. The link between event and decision is made by the reader, not by the indicator.
