Government plans to raise the cost limits of two GRES power plants by 55 billion rubles
According to Kommersant, the government intends to increase CAPEX for the modernisation of Inter RAO's Kashirskaya GRES and Gazprom Energoholding's Novocherkasskaya GRES by 36% and 45% respectively — by almost 55 billion rubles in 2025 prices. The projects, selected in 2021 under a special quota for innovative gas turbines, have become more expensive because of the rising cost of construction and installation work and unforeseen expenses.
