Replacing a line's control system means stopping it, so the customer stays with the incumbent supplier and engineers are trained on its environment. That creates a durable base and recurring revenue from parts and upgrades.

Demand is cyclical and follows industrial capital budgets: reshoring and construction of semiconductor and battery plants provide a structural tailwind, but orders arrive in waves. Software and manufacturing analytics grow faster than hardware. The installed base of controllers is the main defence: replacing them means halting the production line, which customers avoid for as long as they can. The company pays a dividend.
