A share in a short-term U.S. government bond fund brought on-chain by Ondo Finance. The token represents a claim on a Treasury portfolio rather than on a single issue, and exists so that a conservative interest-bearing instrument can sit in the same wallet as everything else and move around the clock. Minting and redemption are open only to vetted investors — an institutional instrument rather than a freely circulating token. Tokenised government debt was the first class of real-world assets to take hold on-chain.
