About the coin
Prices reach the blockchain not through intermediaries but from the sources themselves: exchanges, market makers and trading firms publish quotes directly, and the network combines them into an aggregate with a confidence interval. Applications pull the data at the moment they need it, which makes updates cheap across dozens of chains. The project grew out of the Solana ecosystem and now serves applications on many others; PYTH governs it and distributes publisher rewards.
