About the coin
Lending to institutional borrowers is what Maple Finance does: depositors supply dollars, borrowers take them against collateral, and pool delegates set terms and run counterparty diligence. The protocol went through borrower defaults in 2022 and rebuilt its model with stricter collateral rules — a rare case of a public workout in this industry. The category is where blockchain meets the ordinary credit market. SYRUP is used in governance and income distribution.
