About the coin
A marketplace for graphics compute: owners of idle graphics cards rent them out, while artists and studios get complex scenes rendered more cheaply than on their own hardware. The network grew out of OTOY and its rendering engine, and later extended to machine-learning workloads. RENDER is the unit of account between the party ordering compute and the node operator, routing jobs to spare capacity; the token's main trading venue was later moved to a chain with cheaper transfers.
