About the coin
Thousands of transactions collapse into a single STARK proof verified by Ethereum — that is Starknet, a layer-two network where computation is confirmed by cryptography rather than by a challenge period. Contracts are written in Cairo, a language of its own: that buys freedom in network design but requires developers to relearn their tools. The same proof scheme is used by standalone applications on Ethereum. Its cryptography avoids elliptic curves and is considered quantum-resistant.
Verifying a proof is expensive per operation, but the cost barely grows with the number of transactions folded into one batch.
