About the coin
The oldest file-sharing protocol passed to TRON in 2018 together with the client's very large user base. The BTT token was meant to pay those who keep seeding files after downloading them — building a reward into mechanics that had run on volunteers for twenty years. It was issued on the new owner's chain, and the name later carried over to the BitTorrent Chain bridge. The case is rare: a crypto token bolted onto a mass-market product that already had users.
