A content delivery network was a breakthrough twenty years ago and is still needed, but it became a commodity: cloud platforms offer the same for less and the price per transferred volume falls year after year. That part of the business brings in cash but does not grow.

The point of the present company lies elsewhere: the same network of nodes is used to block attacks and filter traffic, and to run code close to the user. Security is growing and has already overtaken delivery in revenue. Risks: price pressure in delivery, competition from cloud providers and the capital cost of the network. The company pays no dividend but buys back stock.
