Split-adjusted prices

Restating historical quotes and per-share figures so that the series before a split is comparable with the series after it.

How to read the number

Without the restatement a chart draws a collapse on the day of the split that never happened. Adjustment restores the meaning of the series without changing a single fact about the business.

When the metric lies

Providers adjust differently: some restate the price only, others the dividend per share as well. Two sources then disagree for no reason at all.
