Aptos (APT)

An heir to the work done on the Diem payments project: engineers who built it created Aptos on the Move language, where asset ownership is expressed at the type level so a token cannot be accidentally destroyed inside a contract. The network executes independent transactions in parallel, which yields high throughput. The direction is a general-purpose smart-contract platform for consumer-scale applications; Move itself has spread beyond this one chain.
