Parker Hannifin makes hydraulics, pneumatics and filtration — motion and flow control in machinery of every kind.

The catalogue is deliberately fragmented: hundreds of thousands of parts for industry, aerospace, agriculture and medicine. No single market carries a critical share, and a part designed into a machine stays there for its production life — hence revenue stability unusual for an industrial supplier.

Aerospace grew into a second pillar after the Meggitt acquisition and works on aftermarket logic: a component is sold once and serviced for decades at markedly higher margins. That part is what made the company less cyclical.

The industrial half follows customer investment cycles and therefore feels a downturn first. The company has spent years raising operating efficiency under its own system and pays a dividend with a very long record of increases.
