About the coin
Horizen works on privacy and sidechains: the coin originally offered shielded transfers, after which the project shifted its focus to tooling for launching separate chains secured by zero-knowledge proofs. The coin predates most projects working with zero-knowledge proofs today.
The zencash identifier reflects the project's former ZenCash name; today it is Horizen, while the ZEN ticker was kept.
